This relentless search for a safe space relates to how they are trying to find stability even in chaos. They are always met with new kinds of challenges. Whether it be in the form of limited resources. Hostile survivors, or internal conflicts that push the group to adapt and evolve.

Outlander

When it comes to talking about trekking from a time-traveling perspective, there is no series that beats Outlander. The story is about World War II nurse Claire Randall who gets sent back to 1743 Scotland in mysterious ways. Her journey is quite literal where she has to face new places and real experiences in history. That create confusion in her loyalty towards two eras.

There’s also an aesthetic element in the series where the viewers are taken to stunning landscapes. That show the rugged terrains of the Scottish Highlands or colonial America.  It also heavily relies on the resilience Claire has to build a new life with her lover. Jamie, despite facing numerous challenges set in history.

Supernatural

Supernatural is an action and killing monsters kind of series with family drama. But all the episodes have one thing in common – the brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester. They are constantly moving to a new town in search of new monsters or supernatural beings to hunt. They are often faced with danger and mysteries that show their strength to maintain their bond.
